Ostrich Farm
Ostrich Farm – Garden Route
The Farm is located in the lush Cango Valley, outside of Oudtshoorn on the main route towards the world famous Cango Caves – therefore making it easy to find and your trip more time efficient. There are more ostriches here than people it seems, and although the feathers are out of fashion, the cholesterol-free meat (very similar to beef), is absolutely delicious. Visitors are introduced to the Ostrich industry - from eggs, the chicks to the mature birds and allow visitors to sit on and ride the Ostriches. Those who are not so daring can hug and feed the birds.
